At Operation Flags of Freedom we’re raising awareness and promoting initiatives to honor the people who have given of themselves to serve. This includes active military, veterans, our heroes that have passed...and our first responders in the community.

The Veteran Service Commission of Stark County provides vital support to honorably discharged veterans, their dependents, and survivors. Their services include emergency financial assistance for essentials such as rent, utilities, food, and medical needs. They also help veterans navigate and apply for federal and state benefits, including VA compensation, pensions, healthcare, and education programs. In addition, the commission offers transportation to VA medical appointments and supports families with burial and memorial assistance. Through advocacy and outreach, they work to ensure veterans are aware of and receive the benefits they have earned.
